British sci-fi anthology series created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror, somewhat depicts the apocalypse of the modern world. The show received critical acclaim as well as a total of eight Emmy awards. And rightly so! As the show is super engaging like an escapist entertainment with a very real-world sting.
The show examines modern society, particularly concerning the unanticipated consequences of new technologies (which are always too dark and brutal). Since it’s an anthology serialized format you watch any episode, White Christmas is a must though!
Is it confirmed for season six?
Unfortunately, no official statement regarding season six has been released yet. But Showrunner, Charlie Brooker doesn’t mind the idea of season six. During an interview with Digital Spy, he revealed, “Black Mirror is a flavor and tone. We have some internal rules about what it is and isn’t right for a Black Mirror episode that we never really articulate out loud, but it does feel flexible.”
“So I don’t think there’s anything to stop us, we could do one-offs, we could do an ongoing story, we could do spin-offs.” So, there’s a lot that the show can still offer! Given season five’s success and the love that standalone interactive Bandersnatch received, season six will most likely return.
Having said that, it’s not going to release anytime soon! That is if it gets renewed for season six. Since 2018’s Bandersnatch delayed season five’s release, season six will not get a release before the end of this year.
Season Six Cast Details!
Since every season, every episode of Black Mirror features an entirely new cast. It isn’t very easy to anticipate season six’s cast. Because season six cast details have not been officially released yet, it still remains to be seen who’s going to be in it that is, if it returns.
