Legacies, the spin-off series of the popular teen drama series The Vampire Diaries, is all set to come back in full force for the third season. The story revolves around a group of magical teens as they find it hard to learn rules of their supernatural abilities at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The fans are eager to watch how the witches, vampires, and magical creatures like werewolves learn to fight evil using their special powers.
The show fared well among the audience, especially those who have been fans of The Vampire Diaries. So, what should our expectations be from the third season?
Release
The initial release was expected to be around in October 2020, but due to the pandemic, a lot of delays are expected. The show will not air until at least February of 2021.
Cast
Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby and Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson will return as well as Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, Jennie Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, and Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman. Fan favorites Quincy Fouse as Milton ‘MG’ Greasley and Peyton Alex Smith as Rafael Waithe will also come back on screen.
Plot
The second part of the series ended with Hope and Landon being unconscious, even after the death of Dark Josie. The story should revolve around the Necromancer, who is still free and hunts around the school. We might find out what happens to students after the probable death of Hope and Landon. We might see the vampires and other magical creatures face new profound challenges to test their magic skills.
Number of Episodes
Though nothing is official, we expect the number of episodes to remain at sixteen, the same as the first two seasons. Both the first two seasons initially had announced twenty episodes each, so we might see complete twenty episodes this time around.
