The Expanse is a science-fiction television series that aired on the Amazon Prime Video and Syfy network.
The story goes by hundred of years ahead in the future. Things seem to have changed a lot as humans have colonized the solar system and Mars has become an independent military power. The two don’t go along much and are seems to be on a ridge of war.
THE EXPANSE SEASON 5 | ALL THE NEW UPDATES LISTED
Syfy telecasted the first three seasons of this sci-fi. After which the 4th season’s rights were purchased by Amazon Prime Video, which released in December 2019. Previously, on July 27, 2019, Amazon again renewed the season 5 of the series.
Like many other series and shows, the current global pandemic has also halted The Expanse. If things have gone as they were expected, fans could have served with the season 5 by the end of 2020.
The trailer for season 5 hasn’t announced yet but we will keep an eye on it and inform about it as soon as we are updated.
The series has completed its shooting as it was confirmed by the director, Breck Eisner back in February 2020.
WHY DID SYSFY CANCEL THE EXPANSE?
Since the first three seasons were distributed by the Syfy Network, they canceled to go for the next. They said they are having distributive restriction management. Later on, telecasting rights were purchased by Prime Video.
IS IT ON NETFLIX?
No, it is not on Netflix. Amazon Prime Video is the only official broadcasting partner of the series. You can get all the 4 seasons streaming on Prime Video.
IS THE EXPANSE BORING?
It would be quite unjustified if we call this science-fiction “boring”. The Expanse has exceptionally well graphics, certainly bold and a beautifully crafted series. Since sci-fi movies have a different audience, the other might find it a little ‘off’ to their way. There are some points when you feel like the story is going slow but that’s part of building the plot.
But if you are not quite a fan of the sci-fi genre, it might make you yawn a little.
IS IT ON NETFLIX?
Season 1 and 2 were streamed in September 2018, on Netflix. After that Amazon was chosen for the exclusive streamer for the series. As of now, Amazon Prime Video is the only official broadcasting partner of the series. You can get all the 4 seasons streaming on Prime Video.
