The pandemic left a great effect on movie release dates. Many movies that were supposed to be released this year, have changed schedules now. Recently Paramount Pictures has disclosed their plan of shuffling movie release dates.
The action adventure movie Snake Eyes was all set to release on 23rd October this year. But Paramount Pictures decided to release the American superhero film on next year’s 22nd October. The movie is a reboot of the G.I. Joe film series directed by Robert Schwentke. Henry Golding will play the role of a titular ninja in the movie.
Paramount Pictures also announced the tentative release date of Scream 5 on 14th January 2022. David Arquette and Courteney Cox will return in the film as Sheriff Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers. Neve Campbell is also expected to return in the movie directed by Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. In the horror series of Paramount, there is also an untitled paranormal activity. Though the name is not fixed yet, the releasing date will be 4th March 2022. Jason Blum will produce it and there is no such other detail available about the upcoming movie.
Besides these, Paramount has a handful of projects to be released. Billie Holiday’s biopic is set to be released on 21st February 2021. At first, the biopic’s name was decided as ‘The United States vs Billie Holiday’, but the final Title has yet not been fixed. Andra Day, Natasha Lyonne, Garrett Hedlund, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Trevante Rhodes will be seen in the movie directed by Lee Daniels.
Walt Becker’s movie Clifford the Big Red Dog will be released on 5th November, 2021. It is taken from a children’s book starring Jack Whitehall and Darby Camp.
