On the opening weekend, ‘The New Mutants’ earned $7 million.‘Tenet’s amount of earning has a hell and heaven difference with that of ‘The New Mutants’. In the new normal world, only 62 per cent of theaters were opened in the USA this weekend. The numbers of moviegoers are too low because of the new rules. So, it could not beat Warner Bros’ ‘Tenet’ in competition. But it is expected that more theaters will open from the next weekend. The makers are waiting for further improvement of the scenario.

Walt Disney’s ‘Mulan’ earned $5.9 million after an overseas release this weekend. There is a big setback for X-Men though. It is very poorly reviewed and earned only $800,000 on Friday. On Labor Day weekend, it earned around $3 million. ‘Unhinged’, the story of a psychopath, failed to attract the viewers much. In this pandemic situation, it has earned $475,000 on Friday and nearly $2 million on the weekend.
