The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for the fourth season by streaming service Hulu. The critically acclaimed dystopian drama still continues to blow away our minds with its potential relevance in the future.
The series, an adaption from Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name has a lot to tell us and the fans can’t wait to keep their hands on the next season. Here is everything we know about the upcoming season:

There has already been a number of delays in production because of the pandemic. The season was first announced back in 2019 and was on-course to start its production in March 2020.
Had everything been normal, we would have already got the fourth season, but normal nowadays seems to be a thing of the distant past. The fourth season was supposed to air in the fall of 2020.
The show finally resumed its production in September and is expected to premiere sometime in 2021. The release date hasn’t been confirmed yet by the makers.
Handmaid’s Tale Story Synopsis:
A teaser trailer that has been released by Hulu back in June 2020 hints at revolt within Gilead. The trailer is composed of footage from the previous seasons along with few unseen shots. It teases a potential war between the government and the ones who seek to overthrow it.
It is believed that the characters in Canada are set to play a huge part in the rebellion against the government of Gilead. The next season may also give us a glimpse of the romance between Nick and June.
Cast:
The fourth season will bring back series regulars such as Elizabeth Moss (June), Max Minghella (Nick), Joseph Fiennes (Commander Waterford), Yvonne Strahovski (Serena Joy), Alexis Bledel (Emily Malek), Madeline Brewer (Janine), Amanda Brugel (Rita), Samira Wiley (Moira), O-T Fagbenle (Luke Bankole), and Ann Dowd (Aunt Lydia).
Sam Jaeger, who played American representative Mark Tuello has also been included in the main cast. The new season will have at least one new character in the form of Mrs. Reyes.
Her character is described as an intelligent teenage wife of an old commander who rules her household with confidence. It will be played by Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House actress Mckenna Grace.
