Vinland Saga is based on a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura.
It is an anime series that follows the story of Thorfinn. He joins the group of his father’s killers so that he can get his revenge and kill Askeladd in a duo. The story also shows Thorfinn’s development from a grieving child to a ruthless killer.
In the end, Thorfinn never really gets a chance to avenge his father’s death. Canute kills Askeladd and Thorfinn sees him dying in his arms. This was the moment of despair for Thorfinn as his whole life he has waited for the day to have a duel with Askeladd and to kill him. But now that he was dying he could not do anything. Characters Season 1.
The ending scene also shows some new characters. It is believed that these are the characters that will follow up with Throfinn in his upcoming journey. The first character to be introduced is Hild. In the manga Series, Hild is one of the victims of Thorfinn’s actions. In the past, Thorfinn killed her parents and told them to run away.
After that a hunter raised her and she learned to use a bow and arrow from the hunter. Hild’s one and the only motive was to find Thorfinn and kill him. Later she ends up following Thorfinn after she receives a message from her family.
The next scene shows a young woman drawing maps on the sand and looking at the sea. The name of the character is Gudrid. Gudrid is a widow and her dream is to become a sailor. Gudrid is told all her life that she cannot do the things as she is a woman. But she wants to prove everyone wrong. Gudris also joins Thorfinn later in the Manga Series.
The final scene shows a ship sailing across the ocean whit a bunch of slaves on the ship. The man shown in the ship is most likely to be Elnor. He is supposed to be the most important allies of Thorfinn. It is also said that Thorfinn meets Elnor on the slave ship.
Vinland Saga Season 2: Release date
It has been almost 2 years since the first season of this saga premiered. Every fan of Vinland Saga is excited to hear the announcement about the second season. There is supposed to be an important announcement about the release of the second season on July 26. The announcement can be about manga or about the Anime series.
Wit Studio, The studio that produced the first season of the anime series has announced the new season of the show. There has not been any official announcement about the release date but the production is believed to have started already.
