Lizzo, Billie Eilish And More To Perform At The 2020 Grammys

Scheduled for the 26th of January 2020, 62nd Annual Grammy Awards is all set to celebrate music. From recordings and compositions to artists Grammy awards is one platform that knows how to celebrate music in every possible way.

Nominations in eighty-four categories were announced by Alicia Keys, Gayle King, and Bebe Rexha on the set of CBS on the 20th of November, 2019. Alicia Keys is all set to host this year, just like last year!

Who’s Nominated? Who’s Performing?

Melissa Viviane Jefferson, commonly known as Lizzo, received a total of eight nominations. She’s up for a lot of major awards this year, including Best New Artist. Her 2019 album, Cuz I Love You, is nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Urban Contemporary Album. Her track Truth Hurts is nominated for Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Jerome and Exactly How I Feel are also up for Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Performance.

She was followed by followed Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X as both got six nominations each.

First-time Grammy nominee Billie Eilish is also going to perform. The 18-year-old is in the running for some of the most significant awards. These include Album Of The Year, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album. She bagged another nomination in Best Pop Solo Performance for her song Bad Guy. Her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?; is up for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. 

20-year-old Lil Nas X received a nomination for the best album with his eight-song debut 7. His country rap duo Old Town Road, with Billy Ray Cyrus, is nominated for best pop/duo group performance. Furthermore, his other single Panini is also up for best rap/sung performance.

Ariana Grande’s five nominations include record and album of the year for 7 rings and Thank U, Next. 

A number of artists will be performing for the legendary event. These include Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish(obviously), Aerosmith, Ariana Grande, H.E.R., Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato. Most nominated American singer-songwriter Lizzo’s performing too.
