So post its box office success, rumors of a sequel began circulating, and within a couple of months, part two was confirmed. Part two is all set to hit the theaters on the 20th of March 2020. John Krasinski directs the movie; he also serves as the writer for the same.

The movie will star the leads from part one Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou are the newcomers for part two. In an interview, Peaky Blinder’s heartthrob Cillian Murphy said, “a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit” while explaining his role in the movie.

Despite John’s painful death in part one, there’s a chance that we could see him reprise his role as Evelyn’s husband, Lee. The flashback scene in the trailer clip hints that we might see him, obviously much before the attack took place.

When Krasinski was asked about part 3, he said: “I set up a couple of tiny Easter eggs in 2 that not only explain more about one but would allow for more mythology”. So part three is also a possibility!
