America always looks forward to the one game of the season that has everyone coming back home to the couch: SuperBowl. The American version of England’s rugby, Superbowl is a national event where all the NFL’s best come to battle it down to one winning team.
However, the star attraction of the super bowls are the ad spots, the celebrity performances, and of course the movie trailers. And boy oh boy, were these year’s trailers a lot to unpack. We present to you, our analysis of this year’s Superbowl trailers.

The sequel to John Krasinski’s epic horror-thriller is here, and it is more horrifying than ever. With jumpscares waiting to catch us unguarded, A quiet place is ready to leave us with nightmares worse than anything we’ve ever dreamt.
Hunters
Based on true stories, Hunters follows award-winning actor Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, and Jerrika Hinton on a thrilling and scary hunt for Nazis. Having moved to the states, its time to control them before the land of the free and brave pulls off a Germany.
Sonic the Hedgehog
A trailer chock full of professional athletes commending Sonic’s speed, the new and updated Sonic the Hedgehog looks palatable enough, what with after the disastrous cartoon unveiled before. The adventure is out on the 14th of February, Valentine’s day. What could be more romantic than watching Jim Carrey and James Morren buttress Sonic’s performance?
The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run
A sequel to the beloved original, the new SpongeBob movie features a missing Gary that Sponge and Patrick go on a search for. Oh, the trailer also features Snoop Dogg and tumbleweed Keanu Reeves. If you thought the trailer was full of curveballs, wait till the movie comes out.
Marvel Entertainment: Black Widow, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki
Marvel fans if you thought that everything had ended after Avengers: Endgame, well you were wrong. With the launch of the new streaming service Disney+, Marvel has got a whole new platform to release its material now. Along with the release of the Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, ratings for Disney+ viewership have shot through the roof and have become the most definite contender to streaming giant Netflix.
Fast and Furious Nine: The Saga
The fast and furious franchise shall never die, and they have rekindled the dormant adrenaline junkies in our heart with the latest F9 teaser trailer. From flying cars to death-defying stunts, the newest movie of the franchise seems to have all its key attractions and maybe one more: John Cena.
