All eyes of the gadgets world are now on the new smartphone models to be launched by Apple. That is the iPhone 12 series. To add to the various reports coming out about iPhone 12 series, it is being presumed that this series will support the BeiDou navigation system of China.
Well, Apple, especially the iPhone section of the company, has never been in good relationship with Chinese smartphone markets. With a number of legal and political issues, Apple didn’t use BeiDou navigation for iPhones till date. But now, the BeiDou spokesperson and director of the China Satellite Navigation Office has said that Apple will use the navigation system “sooner or later..”
After that, the reports were roaming around that as Apple is going to launch iPhone 12 family soon, it is possible that they use Beidou in this series itself. A report also claimed that a test is already being conducted to see if the Chinese navigation system properly supports Apple’s new model.
Absence of BeiDou navigation has been a drawback of iPhone among its Chines users. The last updated version of Apple iPhone, iPhone 11 Pro Max supports GPS receiver, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS.
The BeiDou system, on the other hand, is popular among over 100 million users of 200 countries. It facilitates 200 million daily sessions. BeiDou performs best in Asia-Pacific countries. Many users prefer phones having BeiDou navigation over Apple. Now, it is to be seen what decision Apple takes regarding BeiDou for iPhone 12.
The BeiDou system covers more than 200 nations, with over 100 million users and 200 million everyday sessions. BeiDou-capable items are also already being shipped and utilized in more than 120 nations and areas all over the globe. The lack of support has been a major handicap for Apple and its firmness will offer considerable assistance to a big part of its user base.
